About us

Pinnacle is the award-winning, student-generated yearbook at Carmel High School in Carmel, Indiana. Part of the Greyhound Media Network.

“Pinnacle is a student led yearbook class you can take from your sophomore to senior year at CHS, where you get to grow with an amazing group of students and work to show off each individual and unique section, club, student, staff and so much more of the school that may be hidden or nobody tries to pay attention to. At Carmel, there are so many talented photographers and students that make, and take, and digitally cut out every photo you see on every page. Some students sit for hours making intricate “illos” which are each little art you may see on each page. To make each “illo”, the staff goes onto Google and finds a perfect photo and then they use adobe illustrator to trace and color each part to make it come to life- the students that make up staff are all incredible and are amazing workers.

Our amazing teacher along with our student editors in Pinnacle help each and every student make sure they stay on task, understand what they’re doing and are always there to answer questions about whatever someone may need. They also set up staff bondings to help the new staffers, which we call ‘newbs’ adjust and make friends with everyone in here. They help set up the sections of the yearbook each person will work on, or for photographers which sport/event they will be attending to photograph.” – Jacie Piersall
